Using the TLImporter, running into glitches... #21

Hi, I am not a developer or a person versed in computer science or code, though I did take one coding class in college years ago. However, I was trying to use this importer as this is the only tool I have found, period, to transfer my WhatsApp chat to Telegram. Everything was going smoothly until the program asked for the code which was sent to the other person's number. I chose to not transfer the messages in secret mode, and to have the messages go back and forth inside of my Telegram chat with my friend from WhatsApp. I alerted my friend to what I was doing, and after I had put her number in, the application sent her a code in Telegram as it had already done with me when it was logging into my account. She forwarded the code to me so that I could use it for this process, but the application says that the code is invalid. What am I doing wrong?

@philotheako Hello

Don't remember where I read that, but I recall hearing that Telegram implemented a mechanism where, if it detects that a message contained the login code, it automatically invalidates it. Could you try redoing all the process (so a new code is sent to your friend) and then ask your friend to call you or sent it to you using a secret chat or other medium, like a phone call?

Hey, I was trying to use the importer again with another friend of mine and after I input the txt file in there, it says there is an "irrecuperable" error. Looking at the TLImporter Log file doesn't help me much. At first, it said that the ut8 something coding wasn't legible on lines 4469-4470 but when I looked up those lines, they were just normal text which shouldn't cause any problems. However, in order to try and get it working, I deleted them and tried again. Then I repeated the process and it ran into the same error. Only this time, the Log is even more obscure to me and I don't understand what is wrong.

I am also aware that Telegram recently - in the last couple weeks - integrated a chat importer into their system. This was really cool and my friend and I tried using it, but my friend must have included media, and it only imported our chat history from a little after the beginning of this current year. So, I was trying to utilize your tool to import the gap messages. But do you think Telegram's new update could be interfering? Thanks
