To make OpenStreetMap more navigable and accurate in guidance, our mapping team started an editing project in Australia and New Zealand.
Starting with January this year until June we will focus on road geometry, road name, oneways, signpost, turn restrictions, speed limit, lanes, turn lanes, hov lanes and toll roads in Auckland, Canberra, Perth and Melbourne.
In this project we will map one way in these cities and we will focus on adding missing information as well as improving the existing data in OSM.
Pay attention to the direction of the way! Before adding the oneway=yes tag, make sure that the direction of digitization matches the direction of the oneway. If not, press "R" to reverse the direction and only after add the oneway=yes tag.
For roundabouts, the oneway=yes is implied, so it is not necessary to add it explicitly.

How to map
We will follow the mapping scheme that is already used in the Australia, as it is described on this page: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Australian_Tagging_Guidelines Will add oneway=yes tag after checking the direction of the road with the following sources:
