We are considering using this dataset for our future edits in Washington DC metro area:

Washington- Street Center Lines Dataset License type: You are free to: Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially. This license is acceptable for Free Cultural Works. The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms.

Hi @openbrian ,

Above you can find local data for road geometry/road name and oneway for Washington DC metro area. We sent email to the data owner to ask his permission to use this data to improve OSM, please find his answer above. We intend to process this data with Cygnus+, a tool that can compare any tags from local data to the ones in OSM, and outputs a changefile with the difference. The information that we obtain from this process are road name ( modified and new) and oneway. For road name we double check with Tiger and for oneway with OSC, Mapplilary and Aerial Imagery. Here you can find more informations about the data processing with Cygnus+. About Mapping DC, any help is welcome.

If you create a job in MapRoulette or Task Manager I can farm it out to about 10-20 DC mappers.
