Recruiting Riders in College Towns #32

its known there's a lot of college students and some of the most popular college football teams are in texes.

i was thinking to market towards them as it may be a good cost to return marketing strategy.

how that's done can be discussed. although i have some ideas.

  1. partner with the home team and make 5% lower then uber rates for every touchdown by the home team.
  2. advertise a flat rate from the game to the dorm (make it cheaper then uber)
  3. 1st ride free for students.

comment if you have other ideas

100% - focus should be on college campuses in Texas. However, in order to make this a success, I think the core team will need to be physically present on the campuses or already have an ambassador program in motion.

Point 3 sticks out the most to me. College students always love FREE.

It may also be useful to include this under the Ambassador Program issue here

@avgur770 the TRIP protocol doesn't natively support promotions like this at this time.

That said, it might still be possible for entrepreneurial balancers to take on the risk here and offer promotions like this at their own expense.

Let's hold off on thinking further about promotions that require offering ride subsidies.

What could be very fruitful though is thinking through different ways of promoting our value propositions:

There are so many different ways we can express these simple clear messages:

Avi, so please adjust this proposal in light of the above feedback. Also let me know where you would envision this content living on the TRIP Guides site. Would it be on the Balancer Basics page? A new page? Somewhere else?

@Alejandro1954-ops we had a ton of great learnings being on the ground in College Station last week. That said, we do envision in time the community unlocking cities on their own without our team's physical presence on the ground. So let's make sure to keep that in mind. I'll take a look at any comments you made on the Ambassador Program issue shortly.

@avgur770 also minor point of feedback, you have some typos so far in your posts here e.g. "texes" should be "Texas". Use proper punctuation as well. In other words, please put just a little more attention to detail in your writing. It will serve you both in this project as well as all your professional endeavors going forward.
