How To Drive Consumer Adoption #57

This will be a two-way marketplace where you will need to find a balance of drivers and consumers using the application. Given the current pay structure with Uber/Lyft and discontent amongst drivers, I do not think there will be any shortage of drivers. That said, you will need to have people using the app to keep drivers engaged. I would like to open a discussion around ways to drive consumers into this ecosystem.

Some ideas I have:

  1. Gamify the sign up process more - add different tiers once a user has added "x" amount of users into the app and possibly have NFTs associated with these levels (Silencio has done a very good job of gamifying the user experience and they have just surpassed 95k users)
  2. Grassroots efforts passing out business cards with discount codes for their first ride. Bars in launch cities would be a great starting point as people generally use ride share apps to get home and you will find a younger crowd.
  3. Marketing efforts on TikTok/IG or other social medias highlighting savings on fares an/or cutting out the high costs of Uber/Lyft resulting in better pay for drivers and decentralization

@DePINConnection thank you for your contribution.

What's the best place for us to learn more about Silencio's NFT rewards mechanics?

Grassroots efforts passing out business cards with discount codes for their first ride.

Are there any projects that issue web3 rewards that offer comparable discount codes for first use you can think of?

From being on the ground in College Station, earning 85% of the fare is enough to motivate 90% of drivers to sign up. Will it motivate them all to stick with it and sign up riders? Not likely in a sustainable way. That's where TRIP Rewards come in.

At least in College Station, we didn't run into any rideshare drivers that are what I would call web3 enthusiasts. In your experience what percentage of rideshare drivers are into blockchain or web3 before you onboarded them into your fleet?
