Kodi Hangs/locks up

Hey, love the addon, been using it for many months on android H96+ max box. The last month or so after selecting aTV episode and it goes looking for providers, the addon and kodi appear to freeze. Non responsive keyboard. The episode description keeps scrolling. seems to be with around 14 providers left. Only way out is to power down box. No problem doing the same thing on other addons, eg. Kratos, Exodus redux, the crew etc. I run a build, but have cleared it all and reverted to plain Kodi Leia 18.9, but still the same. Hope you can help because I like the Addon. Regards, Con

Hi there ! I had thesame problems on THREE devices. "just" deactivate VIDNEXT in the sources of Tempest and try again ! In solved MY problems here !

Not sure why its causing your system to freeze up, on the next update ill turn a couple scrapers off so they have to manually be turned on. I currently don't seem to have that issue. Some scrapers do take a little longer than other to finish up. I use a nvidia shield, fire sticks, on my pc with Linux and Android phone. Thanks

Why is there a site where you can ask questions to the developers when the do not answer............

I apologize for not seeing you original post, I work a full time job, have a family and do this for free. And you opened a issue in the area for the repo. Not for the addon it self. If you would have opened it here the first time I would have probably seen it.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I deactivated VIDNEXT, and VOILA! so far so good. I'll keep an eye on it for a while, but it looks good. How did you work that out?

Well, I have tested VIDNEXT on my three devices, all with different Kodi's and Android and Windows7, BUT I STILL have to BLOCK VIDNEXT ! It freezes up Tempest ánd Kodi !

I have not fixed VIDNEXT. It is disabled by default now until i can rewrite the scraper. So if your having issues until im able to fix it. Thanks

That's great. My system seems to be working well now. Has not crashed since I disabled VIDNEXT. Before that Tempest was virtually unusable for TV shows. Thanks to the Forum and eeden003 for the assistance.

That's great eeden003. My system seems to be working well now. Has not crashed since I disabled VIDNEXT. Before that Tempest was virtually unusable for TV shows. Thanks for your help. How did you know it was VIDNEXT at fault?
