problem with the sources #74

hi iam have trouble wiht some of the sources like the sources will come up then it will get have way throw then stop and some time it wont do any thing at all and the problem is with some of the shows and it just stared happening it like saying remaing providers like 10 then it stops and it doing it with some of the tv shows

Try to turn off VIDNEXT and SOCKSHARES scrapers and see if that help, I think those 2 scrapers take the longest to scrape which could cause it to freeze up or appear to be freezing up. Thanks

It was only VIDNEXT. It didn't just appear to freeze up, it had freezed. The progress on the progress bar on that sources dialog did not budge one bit for 10 minutes.. I had to hard reboot the device because the Tempest locked my device up, and I re-tested and same experiences. Came on here saw the suggestion being VIDNEXT and disabled, and this time, my third time it worked like a charm. Shouldn't there be a time-out so this doesn't happen? Thanks for Tempest, I really like this addon.

Ill try and see if i can figure out the issue. Just not sure because i don't have that issue and i have tested it on my linux computer, nvidia shield, fire sticks or my cell. but i'm going to look into it and see if i can fix/improve it. Thanks

Tempest was updated yesterday, this morning saw notification of your post. I've re-enabled VIDNEXT and started Tempest and tested three times. It doesn't halt at ' Remaining providers: 7 ' anymore, so I'm It's fixed for me. Kudos! :)

Well, I have tested VIDNEXT on my three devices, all with different Kodi's and Android and Windows7, BUT I STILL have to BLOCK VIDNEXT ! It freezes up Tempest ánd Kodi !

Update 5.0.87 fixed the VIDNEXT lock up problem, "I think". If this is true it should be marked as "Closed".

I can confirm the problem still exists. Just under certain condition it doesn't occur, but does happen more times than not. Stuck progress screen looking for providers and it never times out, and we can't cancel out. Kodi freezes have to hard cycle the device.

Well, when I google for the VIDNEXT site, I only find sites that have nó streaming series/movies !🤔

I have not fixed VIDNEXT. It is disabled by default now until i can rewrite the scraper. So if your having issues until im able to fix it. Thanks

I think that fixed it. Thank You! Was hanging/freezing during the scrape scan on TV shows(and only on tv shows) with v5.0.87. Disabled VIDNEXT and now it completes the scan. LibreElec 9.2.6 on RPi4.
