I think something like safety-goggles would fit this use case. Will it for you?

It's in the right direction (and it's what I'm using right now) but a VR headset usually doesn't have the divot at the bottom for your nose. Also, on a VR headset you'd have distinctive (small) cameras on the corners giving it a different look. With a VR headset I'd also expect maybe the controllers?
