We are an international icon pack and we refrain from using the US currency symbol.
Indeed I would prefer if it isn't a dollar sign, I was suggesting just an idea to represent money or payment. I am not a designer at all and I don't know what are the best practices, I leave that to the experts.
I have been working on a set of invoice icons that's more suitable and recognizable than receipt-
or ticket-
for these use cases. Please let me know if this set works for you, too.
I can get these added this weekend.
Thank you, I appreciate the effort and quality. I'm sure that other people will be able to use these designs, in our case the boss stated that he wanted the currency symbol and we have done a basic mockup that way.
@jhil these are awesome!
@AlfonsoML Again, we cannot place the USD currency icon on these as we deal with international symbols. And we are not willing to add all of the currency on each of these.
@MrGrigri I'm sorry if I haven't expressed myself properly. I understood it the first time and I agree with that point of view, I am not requesting at all any change to this proposal. I have only said that I won't comment about these icons because the person at charge wanted the icon in a certain way, so we created an icon that might not follow at all the best practices about alignment, sizes, etc... but it's "good enough" for us.
Before submitting a new icon request, please confirm the following:
What would you use this icon for?
The library suggest the "Receipt-*" icons when I search for Invoice, but a ticket is not exactly the same.
Give us an example of what this icon might look like.
A paper sheet with lines and a $ sign. Similar to receipt-text-outline, without jagged borders and something that shouts money (the $) Also an icon "new Invoice" by overlaying a + sign at the bottom right like receipt-text-plus-outline
