FR Sea-level or water-height #7526

Before submitting a new icon request, please confirm the following:

What would you use this icon for?

to indicate Tide water-level eg using https://github.com/physje/waterinfo

there are various available icons, but none really depict the actual sea level height measurement.

https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=water+height+icon reveals multiple possible option

Give us an example of what this icon might look like.

or

trying to avoid actual directions (up / down) which is what waves-arrow-up currently does.

thanks for considering

The 2nd sample has too many elements horizontally so details get lost in 24 pixels, but here's what I could do with the first one:

beautiful!

truly very eloquent thank you very much

not sure if these FR's should be closed now, or that merging these icons closes that automatically?

btw, I guess you couldnt all make an extra, with the top bar short, and the 2 bars below longer?

My feeling is that would be even more indicative of high water (not sure, so would be awesome if we could have a look )

gave it my first try in Inkscape...

water-level-3

what do you think? (aargh, seeing it this large makes me see the bottom bar is out of grid..)

That's why I am attaching the .svg files in .zip archives, so that github doesn't print that huge preview :) and for you to be able to download the icon and use it straight away. I am not a core team member so I cannot make icons available in the library at my will. Usually once every year or a few months the core team goes through all contributions and creates a new library release. Without further ado: image water-level-3.zip
