Data Turbine installation under Ubuntu #15

I am trying to install Data Turbine on my computer. I am using the
following link as a reference..

I believe this documentation is not up to dated...

Anyone of you have any instructions on how to install Data Turbine on
Linux? Is Ubuntu a good option? What version of JDK RPM and Jpackage RPM
you are using? 

After installed JDK and Jpackage RPM, should I run the .jar installation
file directly? 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

RBNB 3.1 under Ubuntu 9.04

I'm a novice as well but am setting DT up on Ubuntu.  Here are my working 
notes.  I'm currently trying to figure out how to execute the Examples.
