IC2 Tree Tapping Causing A Crash #48

Hi Just letting you guys know formally of a common crash that occurs when tree tapping rubber tree's from IC2. The Sap is at it's orange stage on the tree and the crash seems to affect all nearby (crashing everyone nearby, not just myself)

Here Are two Reports :) crash-2017-11-22_00.10.30-client.txt crash-2017-11-22_00.22.14-client.txt

And Here is a first one that happened a few days ago from the same bug that I disregarded at the time as I was able to harvest rubber after it the second time strangely. crash-2017-11-20_20.56.53-client.txt

This crash seems related to IC2's sounds. Similar crashing can be had whenever an IC2 sound is triggered. May that be a jetpack (doctorbmw), generic IC2 machines and treetaps. Even if you're not the person causing the sound. (Friend triggered a generator causing my client to crash to desktop)

Could someone please test this with all sounds turned off for a possible temp workaround?

ProphetMan commented 6 years ago

I experienced no crashing once my audio engine crashed and failed to restart. All minecraft sounds became muted and I started getting a console spam of [dsurround]: Muting sounds. As it's an intermittent issue, it's hard to say if it solved the problem.

Something to note. Received these error messages as my client closed. Could this be a minecraft issue? [B#353] [03:42:50] [main/INFO] [dsurround]: Muting sounds

I have noticed that too. Did you try reloading it with f3+r? (it will take a while as that reloads all resources)

ProphetMan commented 6 years ago

A task for another day! I would assume that whatever is causing the sound engine to crash in the first place is what's causing client crashes. Might be the root cause of the problem or something.
