Just some sort of UI change to indicate when there are comments or not. Bonus points if there's something to display unseen comments. Could be a small circle on the corner of the show comments button with a number inside displaying the number of comments, then people would know not to click on posts with 0 comments. Or it could be a lighter or more transparent shade of red when there are 0 comments
