Ah I figured it out! I was using the skins folder serverside to load the mods. Once I moved them to their own folder and used the -file command to load them they showed up proper in doomseeker. Idk why linux worked and windows didn't but this solves the issue. Please close this issue. And thanks for the great mod!
I am having an issue using Metroid: Dreadnought to connect to a linux server. I am using Zandronum 1.2.2 and my Linux clients seem to work fine and Brutal Doom works fine on both clients too. I posted a question in the Zandronum forums asking about the issue. Here is the post:
"Hello. I have a server running version 1.2.2 on Ubuntu Server 14.04 and my Windows machines running the same version cannot connect. I am using Meteoroid: Dreadnought and its associated map pack and the doom2 wad across all clients. I have two linux machines that can connect fine but the 2 Windows machines fail with a lump authentication error. And I cannot figure out why because the server responds saying it loaded 0 pwads and that the client loaded 0 pwads. So to me that makes no sense. How can it complain about some conflicting pwads when it thinks none are loaded? I have tried adding the server via doomseeker and using connect from the Zandronum console. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
EDIT: I am autoloading the Metroid files via skins folder. I have read that that can cause problems. But I do the same in linux and it works and offline bot match works fine for the windows clients. There is no difference between the mod/wads on both platforms. I have confirmed via md5sum. Also brutal doom works fine on both clients and they can connect and play."
Any suggestions? Thanks! I know this could be a Zandronum problem but Brutal Doom works fine so that makes me wonder.
