Upgrade to devexpress exf problem #32

No longer adapted to the new version, from devexpress v16.2, an unknown error has been made

There are a lot of new templates in XAF 16+ and new logic implemented by DevExpress team, so for now XAFBootstrap is not compatible with latest versions. I can't clearly say when we will migrate XAFBootstrap to latest XAF version, because it will take a lot of time and resources.

Hello, the author. How long did it take you to make this project? Update from each devexpress version to your release. This is important to me, and how you test the new devexpress dependency.

Hi, comsher, It has taken about 2-3 weeks for first alpha and about 2-3 months to make it usable in production. XAF is pretty customizable, so we implemented custom functionality easlily step-by-step. Several migrates after major updates of devexpress hadn't taken too much time (couple of hours, changes were mostly in class names and namespaces). But since DevExpress released new templates structure (web templates for new style of client) - we tried to migrate "as usual" and realised that it will take much more time than a couple of hours to upgrade existing code - to make it stable and usable in production. Each migrate is testing with our products testing cycle.
