This also causes Data::ModeMerge to fail.

This is deeply in bed with Test::Builder looking at all sorts of internal object keys and overwriting methods. There's no way the current version will work.

I've informed the author. It would probably work pretty easy as an early EventWatcher modifying events as they go by. https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=64604

Not a lot of CPAN is affected by this. The family of Perinci modules, a lot of personal Tasks, Mojito, and Parley make up the dependent tree. The multitude of tasks suggest its seeing a lot of project and corporate use.

It would be good to fix, but we can also go without it.
