CATDEVNIH-163: I like the Red (Full) / Blue (Empty) scheme of the Site Map, but I am afraid that the icons are not to useful and in fact, distracting. The problem is that regardless of the container type (box, rack, freezer) the icon always looks the same, so I forget what I am looking at. They could just as well be red and blue dots.

What might be more useful is to display the container name or container type and number in the map (see attached).

Alternatively, why do we need the map? (sorry for this suggestion) Could we just not use the tree and color full/empty nodes red and blue. You could select a node (container) and then have a button that says "details" which would display all of the details in the right pane, and another button that says "assign" which would assign the container or specimen to the selected container.
