Controller Sensitivity Issue #24

Open CascadeHope opened 5 years ago

CascadeHope commented 5 years ago

I've been enjoying running multiworld OOT runs with my friends recently, except for one problem...

The sensitivity for the controller X and Y axis appears to be much too high, and cannot be cleanly adjusted.

We've tried adjusting the Sensitivity in both directions, along with the deadzones, and the controllers still do not properly act as intended.

For example, the Lost Woods Slingshot game it is near impossible to aim at the target (Without needing to climb down the ladder, and awkwardly aim upwards). The same goes for the Hookshot target in the second level of the Water Temple that you need to hit the eye switch first for.

We've tried the following controllers, with no changes; RetroLink N64 Controller Steam Controller PS4 Controller GameCube controller using Wii U adapter

I also have been having issues with this. The controller is extremely sensitive and the left and right directions for both the control stick and the c buttons are reversed no matter what way I assign the buttons. I have not been able to check the d pad buttons to see if they are reversed too. Also, intermittently when climbing vines or ladders you will climb the opposite direction that you press. I have tried this with an Xbox 360 controller and a Nintendo 64 replica PC controller. This is causing aiming to be quite horrendous.

I'm also having this issue. For me, if I move the joystick too slightly, then it does the opposite direction thing. It's most noticeable when climbing and aiming. I didn't have this problem (with the same controller + emulator settings) a few months ago, just started happening after I updated yesterday.
