Sending messages via overlay window fails to actually send?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Send a message via the overlay.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect that the message will be forwarded to Twitch chat. Instead, it appears 
in the overlay window but not in Twitch chat.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
3.06 in mIRC 7.32 in Windows 8.1

Please provide any additional information below.
Typing into the channel in mIRC works, as does doing in through the Twitch 
website. Messages input into the overlay do not appear in those two locations 
however and other viewers confirmed that it didn't show up (although they could 
see it on the stream since the overlay was visible).

Also, thanks for this, it's still pretty handy to see chat activity when you 
only have one monitor to use.
