Thanks for writing. Actually the plugin should only report real links as Obsidian sees them. It doesn't process unlinked mentions.
I am curious if something else is showing up in your vault that this plugin is misinterpreting.
Ah! Looked more closely when I received your reply and figured this out. I assumed it was finding unlinked mentions because the SNW count was larger than Obsidian's own linked mentions count. It turns out the files in question both had a few instances where the same wiki link appeared twice in the same overlong paragraph. Obsidian's backlinks plugin does not count that as two instances, but Strange New Worlds apparently does? In any case, I certainly didn't mean to link to the same things twice within a single paragraph, so in terms of use case, that mystery is solved. If I see the discrepancy again I'll know I've been over-eager with my linking and need to clean things up!
Thanks for a quick reply and, given that the above is not what was happening at all, sorry to have bothered you with this! Happy if my silly edge case becomes useful knowledge…
No bother at all. this is a new tool and needs to be scrutinized until we are sure its accurately reporting numbers. so please keep the feedback coming 👍
Hello! This is a brilliant plugin – didn't know I needed it; adds a whole dimension now that I have it.
I notice that the count displays both linked mentions and unlinked mentions. I am assuming that behaviour is as intended, but I'd quite like to be able to only display a count and preview for linked mentions, since I'd rather just see explicit connections I have made. Perhaps I am the only one, but if I'm not, could that be considered as a feature request?
Thanks once again!
