I think it's not a hardware based error, but since you asked:

Running Win7 on an ASUS P6T SE, GTX 275.

Ok it crashes for me too, looks like it only does with GL.
Try RenderSystem_Direct3D9.
Works for me while GL crashes, somewhere in computing tangets for road.
