2019.2.6 no longer exists on the systems in Uni! #21

Just a heads up!

Unity 2019.2.6 is no longer on the machines in J106 and potentially J208. To work on this project, we would have to upgrade to 2019.3.1f1 or work on our own personal systems if we want to remain on 2019.2.6.

Quite unfortunate, but a decision needs to be made ASAP.

I’ve discussed this with Aaron, who grabbed me earlier today. You should put in a request to cm.requests@southwales.ac.uk as I advised him, as Rob or Mike need to action this. All this isn’t their fault BTW as Central IT services keep rolling out updates that undo their work; they are as passed as us about this

I mentioned it to Mike earlier today and he could not 2019.2.6 on the Unity website, even under the archived versions. I'll be seeing him again tomorrow about it, just hope it isn't a long term issue.

2019.2.16 has been installed in J106. Upgrading the project to this version hasn't been a problem and I have yet encountered an issue, but if we want to stick to the 2019.2.6f1, these are the options:

Can you check again. Mike said he had installed the right version

2019.3.1f1 2019.2.16f1 - Installed Today. 2019.2.6f1 - Version we've been working on but opens as 2018.2.2f1

2019.2.16f1 has been working fine for me.

Upgrading to this version causes no problem with missing scripts etc, just a minor inconvenience with having different versions on our branches.
