When I try to add a Steam game (Anno 2070 in this case) by clicking File > Add Steam Game to Library ... I get as far as the warning that the installation of Steam may take a while and appear to hang up, and an "Installing Winetricks" loading window before one (which says "Insatlling Winetricks... This may take a while..." appears and immediately disappears. Checking the Barrel folder in Application Support after this indicates that the folder remains at 5 MB and doesn't get any larger, suggesting that Steam isn't actually downloading.
When I try to run the steam winetricks manually, these error messages appear:
