The final document was randomly split between the two of us so that we can each contribute something to GitHub.

Some breaks could be used in the text. Particularly, relevant imagery or figures/diagrams to explain some of the background concepts should be used. Otherwise, what you've provided looks like a wall of text. I'm also suggesting that we move our "motivation" and key objectives "a shelf system that provides information about facing and customer tracking", to a separate section, as many of our sections (mine and @b-en included) reiterate this in excruciating detail.
