Server still resets so this is kinda difficult to do but should probably lay down the framework to do so, assuming a stable non-resetting data service :)

This is finished; it uses two text files (checkthinglocation and checksensorlocation) to hold the URLs of existing objects. If the server has reset, it will detect the 404 error, wipe the text files, and create a new Thing.
