Spawning criteria - grass and stone in all highfield, arctic, and magnetic biomes or caves in total darkness, spawns alone Behaviour type - hostile Health pool and Damage types - medium health pool, weak to slash, strong against pierce Attacks - melee claws, toxic dart projectile Description - Cockatrices are one of the main threats at night and in caves, they stalk the shadows looking for scraps to scavenge. If another creature gets too close to its hunting grounds, they will stay still, rear up, and fire toxin laced darts from its chest, hoping to weaken and deter the potential competition. If a player gets even closer to the Cockatrice, they will go on the full offensive and begin prioritising claw attacks. Cockatrices drop feathers and occasionally rare trophy items in the form of their beaks, which can be traded or sold with specific vendors for a high price or for unique items themed around the cockatrice. The cockatrice is weak to sunlight and will start taking damage if they enter the sunlight, if they stay in the sun without finding cover for too long they will start borrowing into the ground and then despawn.
