IWD1_EET contains IWDNPCs #7

I just realized, after converting the IWDNPC mod to work on top of IWD1_EET, that tipun's mod already includes the NPCs! This seems... not a great idea. Why include them automatically? (Dare I ask whether permission was obtained from the IWDNPC maintainers?) Having it be a separate install seems like it would give players more options, not to mention allowing them to update to newer versions of the NPC mod as they become available. And as I say, I've got it working such that it will install without problem.

So that's my pitch, I think the mod would be better without them.

I didn't know about it but I'm not surprised, I think there is Auril Bane as well. And no, I don't think any permission was given.

As I already mentioned in your thread on G3, I don't have the skills to make such modifications. (And I have little time to devote to IWD at the moment)

But if you volunteer to offer corrections that would be great.

Depending on the extent of the proposed modifications, I'll be happy to discuss them with you to find the best solution.

As you're the most experienced modder to have gone through the mod (as far as I know...), your feedback and suggestions will certainly be very useful.

Yeah, I’m just not registered at Arcane Coast so I figured maybe you could raise the issue with tipun. I presume he’s the only one capable of making the change. But if he does make the change and remove the NPCs, then I will make sure the standalone NPC mod works on IWD1_EET.

Don't count on it too much, Tipun is not active at the moment, I'm still waiting for an answer on another subject.

I'll mention it to him when he's back.
