In MP, sometimes timers and gameplay can mess up and modes don't clear #10

I have had times in vanilla PQ where gameplay messes up and pretty much everyone (or just the host) needs to leave to reset the mode. Things that can happen:

collecting gems also plays the regular noise and puts up the "You got a gem" message
timer goes up +10 seconds regularly, preventing the game from finishing
all gems spawn everywhere like Madness
