@gadfort any thoughts? I'm guessing the exit is processed by the gui but doesn't execute until the script is over.
the gui overwrites the tcl exit to ensure Qt shutsdown correctly, but it's possible that this logic is incomplete. There really isn't any CI testing for this at this time unfortunately.
I tried changing the return of TCL_OK to TCL_ERROR but that didn't stop execution of the script. I'm not sure how to signal back to TCL stop.

We have an exit in the middle of script.tcl, before
detail_placement
