Definition: Has a separate non-coding transcript that hosts non-coding microRNAs such as like MIRs. I am not sure where this might fit in the SO or indeed whether you may have this concept already present but using a term we do not recognize. If the term is unique, can we have it added?

Hi Howard. I am a bit confused by this. We have micrRNA as a term for the 22 nt thing that is created and miRNA_primary_transcript for the initial un chopped/diced/spliced thing Is there something we are missing? It has been a long time since i thought about this. --Karen
