HGNC marks some genes' locus types as "RNA, cluster". Their definition on https://www.genenames.org/help/symbol-report/ reads:
region containing a cluster of small non-coding RNA genes
HGNC lists 119 genes annotated with this locus type, all of which are either part of the Piwi-interacting RNA clusters (PIRC) group or the Ribosomal 45S RNA clusters (RNR) group.
Since this is a pretty shallow group, maybe somebody has an idea how to separately annotate PIRC genes and RNR genes with existing SO terms. Otherwise, it would be great to mint a new one that could cover these.
@egchristensen any chance you can take a look at this?
