signal-peptide and transit_peptide are interchangeable, but the important thing we want to capture is the destination. I would merge these into the parent "protein localization signal" as 'related synonyms". This will prevent an overly complicated hierarchy. (i.e mitochondrial targeting signal should be under 'transit peptide' and 'signal peptide' in the current hierarchy, but it is best to avoid unnecessary grouping terms).
Hello, there are a number of problems in this region:
peptide_localization_signal
A region of peptide sequence used to target the polypeptide molecule to a specific organelle.
Is incorrectly defined. It should also include 'retention signals' because some descendants are "retention signals"
suggest A region of peptide sequence used to target the polypeptide molecule to a specific organelle, or retain a polypeptide at a specific location..
