External peer review: November 2023

An external QA review of the model code has been carried out and was positive.

"Very well-written code, in line with Duck Book and with reproducible analytical pipeline guidelines (Silver+)"

The QA of New Hospitals Programme model has been undertaken from 27th October 2023 – 21st November 2023 and 20th-22nd December 2024. This has included:

• Read through documentation (NHP Project ; Strategies; Inputs App; Outputs App)
• Run code both via R Connect Server and via local machine with synthetic data
• Convergence assessment
• Line by Line code review (and step-by-step interim output review where needed) of the model python
• Capturing aspects in ‘Duck Book’ checklist (Moderate quality assurance)
