Wondering when 1.0 will be an available dropdown. I assume once thats done i can then figure out how to create a custom mod pack for my friends and self host it yeah?

There's no overhauls yet for 1.0, so I have not pushed a new version.

Before 1.0 drops officially, I'll have to push a new build out, as they dropped the savegamedir hook.

okay, am i right in my understanding that i can create my own "pack" that i can host which my players can just link to and it will update to any mods i add to it without them having to select them? Struggled to find much doco on the app and just blundered my way through it a bit, hahah. :)

My documentation is not very good, unfortunately.

Yes, you can host your files on a site like github.com, gitlab.com, or azure git hosting. You upload all the files in the 'right' folder, ie, Mods folder, and set up a configuration file. I'm available on discord as well, through the modlauncher's discord link.
