Is there a way to send the digital audio from a Mac to the EntryPoint gateway?

I have created a Wiki to describe what I want to achieve, including some steps that may be needed to achieve this.

In this Wiki I describe how to play the output from a Mac on a Linn or Devialet device using the OpenHome framework.

But I hope someone can come up with a way to do this in a simpler way and send the stream directly to Roon as an audio input.

The Entrypoint Gateway is an Icecast2 server. You could try to setup a steam towards it using FFMpeg, this is also how the Audio Entrypoint does it. I'm not an Apple user so I can only provide some pointers:

I found a good way to do this. Actually, you described a good way to do this here.

I modified the instructions and described the process, taking some problems that I encountered into account. It works well.
