I think this change would make sense in terms of keeping a faithful out-of-the-box experience, since it would more closely match out C&C95 and RA95 do interpolation.

CNCNet patches no longer have this set as the default as far as I understand, so for most people the out of the box experience is the one currently used by vanilla?
