Fortnightly view or Time based buckets #223

I was wondering if it would be possible to get a fortnightly view of transactions based on a start date.

I currently get paid fortnightly and most budgeting apps don't make it easy to setup fortnightly budgeting.

I'm currently working around this by creating a bucket for each fortnight with an In and Out component in each, but this isn't ideal as I can't use buckets for what they are actually meant for.

I'm trying to understand your use case.

Is it only to create the Income transaction on a fortnightly basis? Or is your goal that the whole calculations also work on a fortnightly basis (e.g. the "Want" figure for a Bucket)? Or in a more extended version, having the views for Transaction and Bucket on fortnightly basis instead of monthly?

I get paid fortnightly. When I get paid I move money to my various accounts based on what my expenses will be over the next two weeks. A set amount to spending, an amount to bills and the rest to savings. At the pay date of each fortnight I need to know how much to leave in my bills account (based on my recurring bills) and how much goes to my savings.

These "various accounts", are these real-world bank accounts or are these just kind of a grouping (spending, bills, savings)?

Real world. Regards, Matt.

What I could imagine is to make an additional Bucket Type like Expense every x months but on x weeks basis.

That would probably work.
