This is a followup to https://github.com/TheBevyFlock/bevy_quickstart/pull/305.

After this PR is merged, I'll delete the cargo-generate branch, and then the final remaining task is to add a ci-generate.yaml. That needs a little more time to cook in https://github.com/TheBevyFlock/bevy_new_minimal first.
