@kqlacy For the "Assignments You can Work On" I'd add that it can be helpful for them to do research on similar or existing solutions to the problems that they are working on. Especially when they find examples that the students can work through. These can be super helpful when the team is building a base of experience.
Similarly, once they've done the technical survey it could be good for the technical TA to start digging into some great resources for team upskilling. Are there sites/videos/code exercises that they've worked with that could help others on the team start to build their skills?
As an addition to the coding tips, helping the teams setup code comment guidelines and a code review process could be a good use of their free time. Code comments are a vital part of documentation and can make a big difference for projects that continue between semesters.
For "responsibilities", I would add a blurb that we don't expect them to be experts in all things that their project is working on. The important part is to help team members feel empowered to research themselves, test things, and then try to improve on those results. Technical TA's will be key to help students feel comfortable and find resources for this type of methodology.
I like the reorganization of the tech tips and tech skills! It will be interesting to see if we can think of a way to make sure they read that content. Otherwise, I could see them skipping over those resources.
