This is actually a really cool idea.
Perhaps you can look at the code for shader "surfaceparm playerclip", and copy
the work from there and separate player models from entity models and remove
player models from the code. I dunno, lol : )

BTW, I actually have this in my map, but I'm using solid brushes hidden in the
ceilings. : )
