2 years ago And just for clarity, not to make each demo it's own separate DLC as that might be annoying to have to manage, but rather ALL of the demos contained in a single free "MAX Demos" DLC.

2 years ago @fearlesswee - Most of the demos are not using any custom models, materials, or scripts. As a result, they are using the stuff you've already downloaded with MAX ... the assets that come standard with MAX. So, the only thing you're really downloading are the project files and map files. If you look at those folders, all the demos come to just over 1GB in total. In other words, even if you had the option to not download any of the demos at all, you'd still already have the majority of the stuff on your hard drive already (buildings, enemies, trees, grasses, etc.).

2 years ago @fearlesswee, Demo will never be DLC because they do not offer anything since all the assets you need to run the demos are already built into Max.
Demos are not complete games and are there to show everyone what is possible with Max. Think of demos like they are teaching aid for new and old users as well as a template for you to start making your own game. they show you how things work and how to link one asset to another to trick it out.
It's just a bit annoying to have to download gigabytes worth of demos and their files that I will never really use or mess around with outside of playing through them once when they're released, or to quickly compare MAX's gameplay to other games for a github issue. It would be very nice to separate them as an optional free DLC download for people that want to check them out, but for people just interested in using MAX they can have a much lighter install.
