For me this would be expected behaviour. Users might want to expand on the demos for example.
What do others feel?
Personally, I think it just makes yet another mess of folders that needs to be cleaned up. If I wanted to expand on one of the demos, then I think there should be a way to tell it to then create a project folder. Otherwise, the only things I want in my project folder are my own projects.
I don't want to do something, like access a demo to test something (like see how MAX is doing with frame rates) or to learn something (like the triggers used in the switch demo) only to have MAX create project folders for these every time I access them.
While we are on this subject, i also think the demo games should not be projects, they should also not have the option to create 'StandAllone' either, they are to give users examples of what you can do with MAX they don't need to be projects or standalones, we all know they may end up on Steam which is very bad for MAX ! At least give them a non removable splash screen stating that they are demos and not to be sold or given away !!
Unless I'm mistaken, there is a comparison check to prevent a demo game being released unless it has been substantially changed. I'll assign Lee, I'm sure he can shed some more light.
@Tum1370 The SAVE AS only option is already the current mode for DEMOS in the HUB:
It is an interesting area, balancing the need to limit asset flips right from the demo levels, and allowing users some freedom to take these out-of-the-box examples and work on them. I have retagged this as a feature request and conversation starter to see if there is a solution such as the proposed forced SPLASH SCREEN declaring this is a DEMO level exported from GameGuru MAX and there is no way to remove it without starting a new project completely from scratch. Pretty easy though for someone smart to work around anything we throw down :)
As the title says, Everytime you log in to a demo game, you get a new project folder created for that demo game. Very untity. The project folder is suppose to be for our own games.
