audio zone crashing #4438

So I am trying to put one of my own sound effects in my game on gameguru max. After I place the audio zone down I click on behviour and the file option to open the file of my sound effect. But when I click on the three dots icon (...) to open the file it shows a loading icon beside my mouse and the game closes or maybe crashes is a better term?

Are you able to upload the effect you're using? Just add it to a zip file and drag it into the reply window. If you don't want to post publicly you can email me Dave@thegamecreators.com.

Thanks. Also, can you test the zone with other sounds to see if they cause the same issue for you?

its not the sounds that are the issue its that it won't even let me pick, in the video you cant see my mouse but there is a load icon beside it and then the game shuts completely off

Ok. I've tested this and it's working for me.

Which build of MAX are you using? I'm using the release candidate build, it's possibly a bug that's been fixed.

You can try out different builds of MAX, please try the release candidate build and see if this is still an issue for you.

@Selwyn357 Could you temporarily remove your custom sound effect, restart Max and try again Just in case its in some way linked to the issue.

I will try that, though I restarted it, reinstalled it etc. still not working also that code you gave me didnt work on steam

So are you not using the Steam version of max and still the old downloadable ?

no I am using steam it just said invaild when I typed it in
