At present the Logic linking is fine for smaller areas but to be really functional and powerful needs a bit more flexibility. An alternative is to not have to drag the link holding the mouse button down but perhaps click once on Object-A then just move around the map to the receiving object and hold shift and mouse click on Object-B. Ideal for long distance or tricky or obstructing scenery.
Having the logic ball in the middle of the link is the also a problem especially for longer distance items such as teleports etc. as sometimes the logic ball may be in the middle of an object or terrain. Below is an idea to move the logic ball always closer to the originating linked object with a pointer showing the link direction to the other object. Or perhaps this can be done at either end.
This would clean the view and allow for easy access to the logic ball for longer links such as teleports, far away switches, zones etc. and means no hunting around for the magic logic ball that becomes very hard to see as you zoom out your view. Also the link lines shouldnt shrink quite so much as they do at present as they are also harder to see and almost invisible when zoomed out.
