Hmm i could have sworn i had to turn that off for screenshots ? not that i had it enabled a lot anyway to be honest.
Used to work wonderfully with the hide HUDS option in the EA builds. Was just using it yesterday. Wasn't aware there was an option somewhere to disable it, but hopefully it can be changed back to the way it was to eliminate the extra step of digging through menus/preferences to enable/disable it whenever I want to take a screenshot. Ctrl +H kept the process very streamlined.
Not a bug was a request made way back :) I pushed to have that disabled because when using custom huds your script will use HideHud in order to hide the default huds which used to hide the fps counter as well.
In test-game you need to be able to see fps for dev reasons - rather than hiding it.
There are two ways to get a screenie with no FPS counter in it
Personally I think it would be nice to have better options for the FPS counter: 1) access to display it or not from Tab in test-game 2) be able to place it top left, top right, or top center of screen 3) be nice to be able to display it in a standalone build t0o (but not important really)
@OldFlak , thanks for the info. Wasn't sure where to go to disable it. I'll update this request to add a hot key to hide the frame counter instead so we don't have to go to the settings tab every time we want to take a screenshot or two (because I agree, the counter is useful being there for optimization purposes). :)
@davetgc , changed this to a request for an additional hot key since the frame counter staying there was a requested feature and not a bug.
Now all screen captures for DLCs, etc. need to be photoshopped in the top-right to remove the frame counter. Wasn't an an issue in the EA builds. Please fix.
EDIT/UPDATE: Since this was a requested change and not a bug, I've updated this request to instead ask for a hot key to hide the frame counter in-game, the same way Ctrl+H hides the HUDS.
"Ctrl+Shift+H" might do the trick. It would eliminate the need to exit test game and go to the settings menu then jump back into game just to take a screen capture. Would keep the process streamlined as it once was. :)
