I thought I bricked my device because I followed the instructions line by line, and therefore I saw the "press Volume down" stuff before I got to the next line that said "WARNING: DONT PRESS VOLUME DOWN". That's pretty unhelpful, so I rearranged it to prevent others making the same mistake. It's a pretty bad thing to go wrong because unless the user happens to know which keys to hold down to hard reset the device, they won't be able to get out of the bootloader or turn off the device once they've pressed Volume down
