Hi, Thank you for those fixes.

I will close #550 in favor of this merge request. Since by now the development branch contains multiple fixes, I would prefer to get this merged and then sync up development and master again.

08254ea57701904a5ab6026070309787ebc6854d already contains 2 of your 4 changes. Is there a reason they are included here?

Current master compiles on Ubuntu 24 with gcc 13. If you encounter compile error, please feel free to make merge requests or to open an issue.
