Hires Fix Always Enabled #2539

I am attempting to turn it off by selecting 'None', however when I checked the resulting renders they were all 1024x instead of 512 (which I had selected). This is on 1.5 by the way.

IMO preselecting Hires Fix is annoying - I don't want to render images at higher res until I like what I see. I had to turn down the upscaler to 1 in addition to selecting None to get 512x renders.

While we're at it - can we please set denoising strength to 0.4 by default? I don't know why it was set to 0.7 in the first place, it obviously alters the renders in almost all instances.

set the high res step to 0 to disable it

Update: That's a negative. Setting hires fix to 0 does NOT disable the upscaler. Output was 1024x1536. Here are my settings.

The only way to disable it is to set it to None and also set upscale to 0.
