The thing:

The thing is, 99% of photos contain the original exif, therefore their location data already. This issue is for the 1% of people who actually use Google's location editor, so that location is in the jsons but not in exifs

This issue is heavily related to #195, as when that will get resolved, gps will probably too...

Thanks for getting back, so as I undersand it's not a problem recovering the original GPS data, but rather recovering any GPS data applied/edited from inside google phoots.

Yep exactly. Original locations should be fine
