Lot of UI elements are a bit hidden and confusing. Here is my idea to improve debugging:

Put Debug Mode in the top right menu
Rename Test button to "Start Test"
After starting test change button to "End Test"
On pressing end test open the default email app with the debug logs and my email inserted (well, a SimpleLogin alias of course)
